Concept
The idea behind my photographic work is founded on quality. Rather than produce a mass of mediocre images, my objective is to produce uniquely crafted images for each client – capturing special moments that will result in images you will remember and be proud to display for years to come. I pride myself in this approach and therefore spend enormous amounts of time and energy, from capture to selection and editing, creating what I feel are the very best images / photographs possible.
Based on this, I charge for a select few images in the basic package. Any extras are paid for individually. I don’t do “wont you just throw all the images on a CD - an I’ll pay you an extra 10 bucks”. I’m sure you will find many folks with cameras out there that will be prepared to do thus. I’m not one of them.
Each session is unique. There really is no ‘set formula’ – it would therefore be good to discuss your expectations, needs, and possibly ideas you have in mind before hand. Like … you know – Photographer swings from cantilevered overhead pylon while steed leaps over raging river, rider attired in Giorgio Armani evening wear…… I’m all for any such challenges……
Style
I am not a conventional ‘pose and shoot’ photographer – Stiff and ‘formal style’ poses are often uncomfortable and inappropriate for the mood I want to portray. It will additionally force me to remove the vestiges of cranial coverage that now adorn the barren landscape lying northward of said photographers grey matter. I therefore attempt to capture the natural interaction between subjects; which is more spontaneous. The resulting images must reflect the unique connection between horse and owner. Their personality, the essence of their character should be reflected in the image; and should evoke warm feelings and special memories.
